Our driver will meet you at around 9:00 am at your accommodation in Marrakesh or at the preferred pick-up point.
Start your day excursion to the Atlas Mountains, and after 40 min on the way, stop to take pictures of the old village of Azrou with a possibility to visit an Argan oil co-operative run by a woman, for a cup of mint tea with local bread, argan oil, and peanut butter. You will then continue on through Moulay Brahim and Asni valley.
Once you arrive in Imlil, you will meet your local professional guide and start your walking for about 2 hours (flexible) to discover the Ait Mizane area. Your hike will take you past the main waterfall of the area and the Berber villages of Imlil such as Targa Imoula, Achayn, Ait Souka etc. You will stop off in Armed and have the opportunity to take in the views of the highest peak in the north of Africa (Toubkal 4167m) and of ancient irrigated terraced fields of barley, corn, and vegetables, surrounded by cherry and walnut trees.
While you are walking through the villages and the green fields of the valley, your informative guide will point out things of interest and talk to you about the Berber heritage and culture along the way.
Your walk will end up in Ait Souka village where you are going to enjoy a traditional Moroccan Lunch (Moroccan salad and chicken, beef, lamb or Vegetarian Tagine and seasonal dessert ) in a Berber family guest house.
Once you finish your irresistible meal, begin your return trip by driving back to Asni or Ourika where you have the opportunity to experience Camel riding for 30 minutes. You will then continue your journey back to Marrakech and finish your trip at approx. 5 pm.
