About this tour

The Everest Chola Pass Trek is an extended form of the Everest Base Camp Trek and is a fully-fledged adventurous trek that takes you above the demanding routes of the Himalayas of Nepal. Along with the thrills of traversing Chola Pass (5300m) that rewards you with glorious views of the astronomical Mount Everest, you will also get the opportunity to experience the various Sherpa culture and their unique traditions and extraordinary way of life at the Himalayas. The Everest Chola Pass Trek also encapsulates the dainty and picturesque valleys of Gokyo, all the while offering you magnificent sights of the mountains, Aegean glaciers and the holy Gokyo Lakes along the trails.

Flying from Kathmandu to Lukla, you will start your trek trudging through lush and vibrant acreages of emerald alpine forests, crossing serpentine rivers that cross the continuity of the land with their essence to reach Namche Bazaar. The trail also leads through Sagarmatha National Park, a conservatory Area which has miles of thick beautiful foliage and habituation of unique fauna which you can get glimpses of while you traverse through it. On reaching Namche Bazaar, the famous hub of the Khumbu region and the gateway to Everest, you will be presented with magnificent mountain views like Mount Everest, Mount Ama Dablam, Mount Lhotse, Mount Thamserku and Mount Nuptse among many others. From Namche, you would be hiking to Tengboche and will visit the elusive Tengboche monastery, richly decorated and intricately ornamented with colorful prayer flags and murals. The monastery is the religious epicenter of the Khumbu region and is one of the largest Buddhist monasteries of the area. The Tengboche monastery also presents beguiling views of the mountains, the golden spire of the monastery contrasting against the navy blue of the sky and the ivory of the snow.

The Everest Chola Pass Trek also allows you to walk alongside the Khumbu Glacier to get to the Everest Base Camp, all the while the trekking trail is adorned by majestic views of the colossal mountains that keep you company. The terrific panoramic views of the mountains like Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, the Pumori and Chagatse among many others from the vantage point at Kala Patthar is one of the most amazing sights to ever grace the eyes!
