About this tour

The Annapurna Circuit Trek is one of the most adventuresome trekking journeys in the Himalayas of the Annapurna region. Being one of the most beautiful and picturesque trekking journeys in the planet, the Annapurna Circuit presents one of the most beguiling views of the mountain ranges of the Annapurna massif along with its many astronomical mountain peaks. Majestic views of Mount Dhaulagiri (8167m), Mount Manaslu (8163m), Annapurna Mountain (8091m), Annapurna II (7937m), Annapurna III (7555m), Annapurna IV (7525m), Nilgiri (7041m), Machhapuchhre Mountain (6998m) and many more, the Annapurna Circuit Trek incorporates the stunning terrains of the region along with its cultural and traditional aspects within its parameters. The hospitable and welcoming nature of the people in the region, especially called the “Manange” lets you feel the homely ambiance along your trek. The absolutely thrilling experience of crossing the Thorung La Pass and passing the opulent valley of the upper Manang, the Annapurna Circuit Trek lets you encounter the Tibetan Buddhist Culture of the people residing in those areas up close.

The Annapurna Circuit Trek begins with a drive from Kathmandu to Beshisahar, the journey filled with beautiful views of the natural environments. Walking to the Bahaundanda village, you would be excursing through the verdant acreages of land enveloped in rich emerald forests to reach Jagat Village. Ascending through the woods to Chonju, you will be hiking on a rocky track following the ebullient Marshyangdi River. Dainty settlements like Dharapani and Bagarchap will be approached along the trekking trail and you can see flat-roofed houses made of stone standing serenely in the amethyst terrains. The Tibetan-Buddhist culture and traditions of the people are clearly embedded into the many temples and monasteries that you will come across along your journey. The religious ambiance of the monasteries, temples, Gumbas and Chortens, decorated lavishly with colorful prayer flags swaying in the crisp wind of the Himalayas are a cast contrast to the ivory landscape.

Since the trails are quite challenging and the maximum point to be reached during the Annapurna Circuit Trek is 5416 meters, you will have an acclimatization time at Manang set at 3570 meters to avoid altitude sickness. Walking up to Thorang La Pass lying at the altitude of 5416 meters, where views of the astronomical peaks like Syagang, Gundang, Thorung Peak and Khantunkan will greet our eyes. Before returning back to Kathmandu, you will also visit the Muktinath temple- a scared pilgrimage spot to both Hindus and Buddhists.
