About this tour

Kyrenia is the city in the north part of the island. It was actually found by Acheans after the Trojan War.

Since than you can find the footsteps of many civilizations. Today as its a half day tour we shall start with Bellapais Monastery which was built in 11AD. The village also takes it name from the monastery. Also do not forget Lawrence Durell whom stayed in the village and wrote his famous book called ' Bitter Lemon'. The castle by the port which was built in 4AD its a place that one must see. Do not forget about the shipwreck museum which the ship is also remaining from the 300BC. The horseshoe shaped harbor which is used as a marina nowadays was built by the Venetians. The back streets are also interesting to take photos.
