A tour to Shiraz is a totally personalized tour aimed at giving you the authentic flair of Shiraz. The tour also includes a homestay where you'd be served delicious and amazing Iranian dishes such as Kebab. I'd be your host, both at the homestay and the city tour. This would also ensure that you don't miss out on any interesting site and place of Shiraz, and you can confidently speak out if you want to try more places or do something specific at a chosen time. You can choose to extend your stay or customize the route as per your wishes.
Shiraz is the golden City of Iran, steeped carefully in poetry and a proud past. It is also believed to have no parallel in its magnificence by the locals. I can take you shopping at Vakil Bazaar and can tell you the details about the products and the history of the place. I'd also show you the most significant shops and goods and take you to the best spices, rugs and jewelry shops. You can also visit the bathhouse if you want to loosen a bit. I'd also show you some marvels of Zand architecture, which was in prominence during the 18th century.
Shiraz has a number of pleasant gardens and you can find some exquisite cypress trees, rose bushes, and obviously, a lot of solace and calmness during your tour to Shiraz. I'd take you to the beautiful Eram garden, that lies north of the gentle Khosk river. Another great site is the Karim Khan citadel built by the founder of the great Zand dynasty. This is a fortress which was primitively used as a prison during Karim Khan times. A Zand period museum is also housed here which will give you an insight into the lifestyle and manners of the dynasty. Naqsh-e Rostam, Naqsh-e Rajab, and Pasargadae are great places with massive tombs for some of the most prominent people. You can also see some stone structures that show important events of past battles, for example, the gleaming Shapur 1 as the Roman Emperor Valyerian kneels in front of him.
If you want to look intimately at the Roman past and connections, I'd gladly take you to Persepolis, which used to be the capital of the ancient Achaemenid empire. The place which is about 2,500 years old is also popular as Takht-e Jamshid. It is a UNESCO world heritage site and showcased the ransacking done here by Alexander the great.
There are a number of endless marvels in the city of Shiraz, which would lovingly introduce you to the grandeur of Iran. For any queries and details, kindly contact me using the 'Contact Mohammad Reza' button on my profile.
