Everest Base Camp Trekking – 14 days, an adventure within two week duration time frame where interested people can join in a walk which leads you right beneath world number one Mount Everest.
Mt. Everest towers high at 8,848 m and 29,028 ft straddles the border with Nepal and Tibet / China, the north face in Tibet and the south face located within Nepal. Most of the adventures related to Mt. Everest and its neighboring high peaks are more popular from the south side of Nepal.
Since the first conquest of Mt. Everest was succeeded in May 29th 1953 by late legendery mountaineers Tenzing and Hillary. Then it was well exposed to outside world and then slowly visitors took interest on this stunning giant peak. Thus, resulting at present one of the most popular Himalayan adventure destinations.
Walk begins after reaching the Lukla Airport/ Tenzing Hillary Airport by taking a short and scenic flight of 30 minutes from Kathmandu city. Then heading along the side of Dudh Kosi River through nice Sherpa villages to enter the Sagarmatha National Park. The park is enriched with exotic flora and fauna added in the list of world heritage sites.
Journey continues through nice woodland of pines and rhododendron tree lines to reach the famous Namche Bazaar, the Sherpa Capital. It’s a perfect spot and altitude for rest days to get acclimatized before heading higher elevation.
Namche Bazaar a large settlement almost a town with many facilities like banks, shops, stores and nice hotels, lodge available. It’s also the place where once a week a busy colorful Saturday market takes place, an impressive activity to observe.
From Namche walk leads to high and scenic Tengboche Monastery. The another beautiful spot for excellent views of mountain panorama with Everest and magnificent Amadablam. The small tour in and around the monastery is another highlight of the trip.
After Tengboche Monastery walk leads into barren country within complete wilderness of high mountains and deep valley. Then, again the amazing adventure leads on the foot of Mt. Everest at base camp, within close to Khumbu Ice-fall and glaciers.
Enjoying wonderful time and experience, the trail leads you to another highlight of the Everest Trek. It takes you to the highest spot of the adventure above 5,545 m on top of Kalapatthar. This rocky hill rewards you with stunning panorama of surrounding giant peaks with Everest at close distance.
Adventure completes after exploring Everest base camp and experiencing the high Kalapatthar. It is the place where return route begins. It takes you through nice scenic places and rural villages to reach Namche Bazaar and back at Lukla.
Then, after the completion of our memorable and adventurous trek, we take a short panoramic flight to Kathmandu city . In this way, conclude our remarkable journey and experience on world highest Everest base camp trekking.
